Would you like to exhibit your work on one of KonstDax’s outdoor billboards? Apply to be one of four artists who will create and paint their own artwork on one of the outdoor billboards on-site! Are you interested and able to carry out the project within the timeframe? Apply!

KonstDax is a street gallery featuring four public art murals at MatDax in Hökarängen Centrum. Artist Ossian Eckerman ran the project from 2014 to 2019. Konsthall C is proud to continue operating KonstDax as an exhibition space for public contemporary art and as a cherished part of the lives and daily routines of Hökarängen residents. Since 2019, Konsthall C has produced several exhibitions at KonstDax, most recently paintings by graduating students from Gerlesborg School and members of the Hökarängen Artists’ Network. Artists such as Salad Hilowle and Mohamed Tatour have also had solo exhibitions at KonstDax.

How do I apply? 

Sketch: Submit an application with a sketch showing the artwork you wish to paint on your outdoor canvas (size 2.5 m x 3 m). The sketch may be done in pencil, colored pencils, watercolor, or digitally. 

Text: Describe your artistic concept and your choice of motif (max 0.5 pages). 

Portfolio & Artist Statement: Along with your application, we also ask that you submit a portfolio with 1–3 works and an “artist statement” in which you describe your art, your working methods, your motivations, etc. Formal art education is not required.

Send your application via email to: info@konsthallc.se. The subject line of your email must include “KONSTDAX OPEN CALL”. The deadline is May 3, 2026 at 23:59. 

The jury will select four entries.

If your sketch is selected, you will create your painting on one of the canvases in the square from May 6–May 27. We will provide paint and brushes, which will be stored at Konsthall C. Surface: Plywood; medium: water-based paint.

Note: Unfortunately, there is no budget for artist fees.
