We have the honor of presenting AnnaMaria Malmgren, who interned with us between January and July of this year.

During her internship, she primarily focused on our own history, building an archive of posters, printed materials, and internal documents accumulated over the years.

Konsthall C has a varied and fragmented history. For some years, all materials have been preserved, while for others, there is hardly anything available. AnnaMaria's research and systematic work have been invaluable, allowing us to search through our own history for the very first time.

How do you view Konsthall C after your time here?
Going through the material in the archive has given me a very clear picture of Konsthall C's work and its impact on broader society. Through its exhibitions and collaboration with artists, Konsthall C has highlighted various democratic issues and served as a platform for discussions rooted in art. In close cooperation with various institutions and stakeholders, the art center works to elevate artists of diverse backgrounds, ages, and artistic expressions. Art can take shape in so many different ways, and Konsthall C captures this by engaging and promoting it through various events both inside and outside the art space—spanning food, music, spirituality, and perspectives on the spaces we inhabit.

What has this internship given you?
During my internship at Konsthall C, I found myself again after experiencing burnout. I learned how an archive can be structured and had the privilege of building the art center's own archive from scratch. I’ve also gained hands-on experience with the day-to-day operations of an art space, including installation work, hosting, and marketing.

What does the future look like for you?
Looking ahead, I hope to continue working within the cultural sector. I would like to keep growing my own artistic practice while expanding my knowledge of culture in society, archiving, and pedagogy—and exploring how these worlds can come together to inspire new thoughts and ideas in the future.
